At a first glance La Duquesa might
appear to have just the same appeal found in many of the coastal
areas of Spain - often all with very similar holiday facilities and a choices
of international cuisine.
However, this area really is quite special, centred as it is aroung a
lovely and original fishing port. Here is a short video which provides
some personal stories about Puerto de da Duquesa - probably one
of the most up and coming areas of the Costa del Sol.

The nearby fishing village of El Castillo (also a
local historic castle), and the villages of Sabinillas, the Roman
Oasis, and the village of Manilva, and are all with easy walking distance
along the promanade - where you will also find supermarkets, excellent
restaurants and a daily market.

The Southern Costas are now well established
as a year round golfing destination - with more than 25 courses over
the 75 mile stretch of coastline. For golfing visitors, the first tee
at Golf Duquesa is literally a five minute walk from the studio appartment. There are also many hiking and mountain cycle trails just a few Km inland.
